Ninja's, Pirates, and Ghouls, OH MY!!

Our ward Trunk or Treat was so much fun! I couldn't believe how adorable the costumes were. I think Raegan was in shock for about the first 20 min. she just kept looking around at all the costumes. But once she was comfortable she ran around with her sword yelling "gotch you!" She had a great time and once again was a pro at 'trick or treating'....theres just something about getting free candy that kids never seem to forget.

My little Pirate!

Such a ham!

I had to get a picture of all these adorable costumes...all homemade, except for yours truely. I don't understand how people can be so creative!!!
Peacock, Gnome, Cookie Monster, and Pirate!

(apparently Aiden had the costume that everyone wanted...a hamburger and also homemade)

*CARVIN' PUNK'INS*
Last night, we finally carved into our dear old pumpkin. Until then, it sat at the centerpiece of our table and I would often find Raegan dancing and chanting 'punkin, punkin' around it.

Now it is a 'scary' pumpkin...

Raegan showing up her little pumpkin

Dinner is served!!

Scary faces

One might wonder... What does a pumpkin taste like?

Not very good, I take it.

After Mr. Punk'in was carved and Raegan wasn't watching, we lit it up and turned off all the lights. I was hiding around the corner to catch her expression.

....thank you dear old pumpkin for giving us so much entertainment!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN

WE'RE GONNA PARTY LIKE ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Well, its official...my little dancin' pants is 2 years old!

We said "goodbye" to measuring her age in months and "hello" to being a toddler. When Ryan and I were planning her party, we never realized how much fun it would be. We rented a bounce house, sent out invites, bought her presents, and planned for a bbq.

What we got was: an insane amount of children stuffed into said bounce house (i was seriously thinking we should have rented 2), 10 kazoos that, when placed in the hands of the children, sounded like a bazillion kazoos - still not sure that was the best purchase :), an awesome turn out of neighbors, friends, work buddies, and family, a buffet of hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, sides, and drinks. (and yes, we should have splurged and bought "just one more set of plates and cups"--at the time, we figured one set would be plenty...we were wrong) AND the best part of all: ONE AWESOME PARTY!

I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. My dad happened to be in town and was able to make it out to the party and took some amazing pictures, as did our good friends the Chatelains. Thanks to them, I have pictures to post. And thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate Raegan's 2nd birthday! We have truly been blessed with amazing friends, family, and neighbors!

I still can't believe we have a 2 year old. I can totally understand now, why my parents always said, "i wish you didn't have to grow up." She has brought so much joy into our lives and for that we are so greatful.

might not have had enough plates or cups, but you better believe we had enough drinks...

My Little Mermaid

Today was Raegans first swim lesson.

Raegan has always loved the water and has so much fun whenever we take her swimming, so I thought we should take some swim classes, just to make sure we have all the basics covered.

She laughed and giggled the whole time and the children splished and splashed away! The water was a little chilly and so was the temperature outside so we shivered a bit, but still had a great time.

First day!

excited to get in the water

Flying

(a little background info)

Ryan is offically a pilot (congrats, my hottie). I'm so excited for him and happy to know he is doing something he loves. The other day Ryan took me flying and I had so much fun. He is a great pilot and I enjoy the time we get to spend together flying over our beautiful valley. I was so nervous at first (seeing as how I'm a tich scared about flying in general) but Ryan made me feel so comfortable. I told him I was mostly nervous about take off and landing so the first thing we did was take off, circle the airport, and do a touch and go (landing and take off again) to get the gitters out of my system. After that, I was fine. We would like to do some cross country trips to Boise, Washington, and other places so we thought we'd take a 'test drive' with Raegan in the plane.

Yesterday was not only St. Patricks day, but it was also a beautiful day to go flying. Ryan, Raegan, and I loaded up in the car and headed to the airport. Raegan was so excited to go flying with her daddy and kept pointing at all the airplanes that flew overhead. She was so much fun to fly with. Words can't describe it so I've posted some pictures to help show the good time we had. Since Raegan doesn't have her own headsets, she got to wear one of her winter hats.
